Pleased to meet you
We’re Sara and Tasha, the team behind PZArts CIC.
We’re both artists, crafters and educators in different disciplines: Sara - ceramics and sculpture and Tasha - small metalsmithing. However, we have a shared passion for the Art School building on Morrab Road. We’ll be sharing our connections with the place in time, but in short currently we both teach inside the building delivering part time courses for Truro Penwith College.
Last week we submitted a proposal to Truro Penwith College in a bid to secure an off market sale for the historic buildings so that they could be brought into community ownership to continue their arts and crafts education legacy. We are really pleased to say that the college saw huge value in our proposal and have agreed to hold off on a public sale to give us the opportunity to raise the funds for the purchase.
So that’s where we are right now. We’ve launched the Crowdfunder to get us started on the initial stages and are busy chasing down grants!
