PZArts CIC is a new, not-for-profit company formed by local creatives, educators and heritage lovers to bring the historic School of Art back to life — as a hub for traditional craft, skills training and community use. We believe the future of Penzance’s creativity lies in its past. The School of Art has stood for generations — and we want it to serve generations to come.
This isn’t just about saving a set of buildings for public use...it’s about making space for learning, making, sharing, and growing together. Courses in heritage craft, affordable studios, public workshops, shared tools — the dream is big, but with your help, it starts now.

Over the next few years, we’ll be raising larger sums through grants, a benefactor programme, and platforms like Patreon. But this crowdfunder is about something smaller and more powerful: you.
If you can give something — anything — it helps show that our community is behind this. That we want this space to be ours, and that we believe in what’s possible. We're raising funds for the very first steps — things we can’t do ourselves, like getting a professional valuation of the buildings, legal advice, and financial planning. These are the foundations we need to unlock major grants, engage benefactor support, and protect this project for the community.

LEND A HAND
If it takes a village to raise a child...then it might just take a town to nurture this project. At the moment we are a small team of two passionate individuals with a vision, drive and energy. However, we do not have the skills in every area to make this project a reality! Of course, we are willing to learn, but with funding deadlines fast approaching, volunteer support from those with specific skills would really help this project fly. Photographers, researchers, graphic design skills, social media management are among the things we would dearly like support with.
