SUPPORT US

PZArts CIC is a new, not-for-profit company formed by local creatives, educators and heritage lovers to bring the historic School of Art back to life - as a hub for traditional craft, skills training and community use. We believe the future of Penzance’s creativity lies in its past. The School of Art buildings have stood for generations...and we want them to serve generations to come.

This isn’t just about saving a set of buildings for public use, it’s about making space for learning, making, sharing and growing together. Courses in heritage craft, affordable studios, public workshops, shared tools, exhibition and celebration space - the dream is big, but with your help, it starts now.

MAKE THIS HAPPEN

Support the Future of the Penzance School of Art

We are seeking larger funding through grants, and in the furture once the buildings are purchased; a benefactor programme, and membership-style support on platforms like Patreon - however, you can help right now.

Your support here helps us take the essential first steps in returning the historic Penzance School of Art buildings to community ownership and transforming them into a home for heritage arts and crafts education, studios, and cultural activity.

What Your Donation Enables

Before we can apply for large grants or secure long-term backing, we must complete a series of professional feasibility studies - and these studies are costly. Your contribution helps fund vital work such as:

  • Independent valuation of the buildings

  • Legal and financial due diligence

  • Heritage and conservation impact assessments

  • Specialist surveys and professional planning

  • Early-stage groundwork needed to unlock major funding

While we are undertaking lots of things ourselves. These are things we cannot do. These studies are the foundations that will protect the project, strengthen our applications, and pave the way for the full restoration and reopening of the school.

One-Off or Monthly Support

You can choose to make a single donation or set up a monthly contribution. Monthly giving - even a pound - helps create a stable base of support that keeps the project moving between larger funding rounds. Every amount genuinely helps and every donor becomes part of this building’s future story.

A Note About Tips

We have set up a donation page with Zeffy. Zeffy do not charge not-for-profits, like our CIC, any processing fees, unlike some platforms, but they rely solely on tips added to donations. The tip on you donation is entirely voluntary and can be reduced or removed by you. To be clear the tip goes to the platform, not to PZArts CIC.

If you have any issues donating, please contact us here and we’ll help you through it.

Together, we can bring these buildings back into community hands and ensure they thrive for generations to come.

LEND A HAND

If it takes a village to raise a child...then it might just take a town to nurture this project. At the moment we are a small team with a vision, drive and energy. However, we do not have skills in every area to make this project a reality! Of course, we are willing to learn, but with funding deadlines fast approaching, volunteer support from those with specific skills would really help this project fly. Photographers, researchers, graphic design skills, social media management are among the things we would dearly like support with. If you think you have a specific skill that you think could help our campaign please get in touch by either clicking the button to go to our contact page, or email us direct on hello@pzartscic.co.uk
